Scanrho imported her to the UK in 1994 where she was re registered as G-BVMI. They subsequently stripped her and rebuilt her in 1996. I bought her in October '99, and she has been hangared beside my home ever since. She has been maintained by Scanrho.
The engine is an O-320 A2B and currently has 525 hours SMOH. TTAF is 5635. The mags have just had their 500 hour overhaul. All SBs and ADs are up to date, and I think I can say in no way have I skimped on service. She is in superb condition and has been used almost weekly, summer and winter, since my purchase. I change the oil every 25 hours/3 months. For better or worse, at my hands, she has landed 1099 times at the time of writing.
As you can see from the pictures she has a Narco 150 radio and intercom and I have installed a Garmin 195 GPS which is wired in to the aircraft, so it makes sense to include it in the sale.
She has Cleveland brakes and safety wires, and of course the newer struts. Like all PA18-150 she has standard fuel capacity of 132 litres giving about 5hrs endurance. More than I can fly without a break!
The CofA has just been renewed and is valid until 4/4/11. You can see this on the CAA data base. There is also a link to another picture at the PFA rally a couple of years ago.
She has of course been used only for pleasure flying. This is either locally in the UK, and most summers, at least once into mainland Europe. In the photo below, she is at Annecy, France, on her way to the altiport at Meribel.
If you would like to sample a landing at my strip in her, I suggest you click here. It is a rather turbulent day with the wind coming from the right over those trees. Its best with the sound on.
So why am I selling her. Well I have just built this and really feel that two aircraft would be greedy, so very reluctantly one has to go.
I am offering her for sale as she is for £39,900.00. This is a private sale so there is no VAT involved. If you would like to discuss her further, please give me a call on 01748.812030. The best time to catch me is the evening, or email SSampson.sln21@london.edu
